Now just where are we going all dressed up on a Wednesday night???

Hint number one..."Got my first real six string..."

still don't know...how about..."cuts like a knife...ohhh, but it feels so right...

you got it...we went to see the one and only Bryan Adams at the Jefferson Center!!! and the story gets better...

when we were first married..you know before we had such things as the ipod or satellite radio, we used to listen to these things called C.D.'s....I know, gasp right!! We were SOOO wealthy we owned all of about 4 C.D's but one of them just so happened to be the Bryan Adam's unplugged album and we listed to "summer of '69" LIKE.IT.WAS.OUR.JOB....our job people!!!! SO when I heard he was coming to Roanoke of all places...AND it was his unplugged get'up I basically begged and pleaded for Chris to pretend we were rock stars for the night and spend the absurd amount of money to be an official groupie! Here is the problem...apparently B.A. has a HUGE following here in the valley because it sold out in like an hour and there were NO tickets to be found...anywhere...he searched craigslist, ebay, no tickets :(...so we decided that we would could play his C.D. really, really loud over Charley's constant raspberry noises and Sam's pretend "histle" and it would "basically" be the same experience!!! OH.IMAGINE.MY.DELIGHT when I got home from school last Wed. and Chris went over to the computer CRANKED UP "run to you" and did his best "Tom Cruise slide from Risky Business"! My husband not only got us tickets THE DAY of the concert...he scored...are you ready for this....FRONT ROW SEATS!!!!! I basically felt like Beyonce once again!!!! Check out these seats...

yep...that's his microphone...4 feet from our seats!!! I could see his sweat (and occasionally his spit, but I put all germ-a-phobe tendencies to the side to enjoy the best concert of my life...in the best seats in the WHOLE AUDITORIUM!!!!! (he just happened to call at the right time and the "artist released more seats" and they just so happen to be front row and they just so happen to be the cheapest seats they had...uuummmm yeah, I'm totally not even joking!!!!! We had such a good night!!!! We ate here....

Which was within walking distance from the Jefferson Center and apparently B.A. fans also crave the same dessert choices because it was packed with concert goers all wanting to be full on brick oven smores before re-living their 80's years (yeah...we were most definitely the youngest people there...by ten years!! :) (FTR we met the cutest best friends from Lynchburg who even let us share their table to speed things along...we Byran Adams fans "feel bonded" enough to eat dinner with total strangers, we sure do!!! :):)

To make a long story longer....we had a GREAT time, JAMMED out to the best 80's music ever(period), got to feel 20 again, and spent some wonderful quality time together...(on a Wednesday)....so there you have it....even if our kids have to wear "cheap diapers" for the next 6 months...it was totally worth it Byran Adams...totally worth it!!! :)

ps. the security at the Jeff center was TOTALLY "in" to their job, especially the "no picture" rule, so sadly, while we were sitting front row, we have no pictures to prove it...just the memoires...but "ohhh it feels so right"!!! :)
