Summer of Fun Miscellaneous

Oh my word how big does sissy look with her hair in a true pony tail??

Looks like Sam doesn't mind having a "dress up section" in the toy room!  Let's not tell Daddy about this one!

Sissy LOVES the pool!  She even has a baby in the pool!  That girl loves playing baby!  About as much as my husband loves swimming around in little girl purple goggles!
Do not try this at home people!
Charley having fun at pump it up!  We love our midweek play dates with Coy and Eli!  She can do all the blow ups by herself!  She is one strong cookie!  We all know she is strong-willed!  But her little muscles are just as strong!  I laughed when Kelly @ Kellyskorner said she need James Dobson's number on speed-dail because SO.DO.I!!!!!!!!
The big kids had to take a water break!  I don't blame them they were running hard!
 Pure joy!

4 Sure Signs It's Summer Time at the Dowdy House!

1. Kids are on the front porch sitting on a cooler devouring watermelon!
 2. You can smell the Italian chicken on the grill!
 3.  Collins' are here for dinner on a weekday!  Man are we lucky we are all teachers or what!!

4. Redbox movie waiting to be watched!  (We call summer our movie marathon!)  We watched 5 movies this week alone! HA!
Let me good times keep on rolling!

Can you believe this little guy is 2 months old!

I know his momma can't!  I gave her this little white outfit of Sam's!  My whittle precious baby boy who is now a rowdy, adorably cute 4 year old wore this on his first Easter!  Amy your Parker will be 4 in no time...don't say I didn't warn you!

Sissy DON'T MIND that Parker turned 2 months old and she surely DON'T MIND his 2 month old cupcakes!   Get it girl!

I mean really Sam...could I love this face any more!  In fact its making me laugh out loud RIGHT now!

Happy 2 months old Parker Coleman!! Amy and Greg...sissy and Sam would like to keep this little tradition of going to your house stripping their clothes off and demolishing cupcakes...What do you say?!

She has the heart of a goalie...

she's not much for running but she can dive on the ground and take shots to the head like non-other!

Bend your knees...
 Hands out...
Now put it together!

 Get it girl!
She is slowly but surely starting to play soccer more and more with Daddy and Big Brother!  She still prefers babies and princesses but Chris hasn't fully given up hope yet!  I think they both like the "after practice" snuggle time most of all!

All Star Game!

Once again we had the privilege of watching 2 of Chris's players play in the allstar game!  We decided to make it one of the stops along the summer of fun tour for the whole family.  On Wed. we left early to meet the Martians for lunch and to catch some of the girls soccer game on TV!  I totally meant to take a picture of the all the kids but forgot.  We always enjoy our time with Martins even when its a short visit!  After that the stars aligned perfectly for me and Chris let me stop at Short Pump and the outlets in Williamsburg.  I only got to spend a little time at each place but I got to stop at all my favorite stores!  After that we headed to our hotel for a quick swim, met up with the Floods for a quick dinner, and headed to the game!  The boys did great and my kids actually lasted all game including a 50 minute storm delay!
Charley and baby watching the game!  She will NOT give that baby a name...she is just baby!

Oliver and Bryce!   They represented PH so well!
My kids were a WET MESS!  Both of them found their way into all those mud puddles!
We woke up the next morning and headed to the Children's Museum in Richmond!  The kids LOVED every exhibit!  Here is Charley in the farm room!

Looks like we have farmer on our hands!
Digging for dinosaur fossils!  Really not sure who is having more fun here...the kids or Daddy?

 So proud of their arch!

I loved all the "free/exploration play" the museum had to offer!  Sam built this on the light table!  He was so proud of his "house"!
Sam and Daddy worked hard to connect the bridge!
This was Daddy checking out with Sam as the cashier at the "grocery store"!  Clearly Sam wasn't having any fun!

 Future artists!
Sam sporting his "Tom" artist smock!
Here they could "pick" apples and then "harvest" them back into the machine that took them back up the tree!  They LOVED this!
 Water table!
 Little splash zone outside!

We asked about a good local restaurant and they recommended this BBQ joint called Buz and Ned's!  It actually was featured on the Food Network when their ribs won a "Throwdown with Bobby Flay"!
I had a sandwich and the sweet potato fries and they were delicious!
We had a great family getaway!  Keep on rolling summer of fun....KEEP.ON.ROLLING!!!
