Christmas on the Mountain

Our church had an 'ol fashioned "Christmas on the Mountain" this past Sunday!  They had hot cocoa, kettle corn, ornament decorating, wreath making, carriage rides, pictures with Santa, and a train ride for kids!

How sweet is this...Sam told Santa he wanted a basketball hoop and a hula hoop and Charley told Santa she wanted a playhouse and a hula hoop AND Max told Santa he wanted his Momma to sleep through the night!  True story...I heard it myself!  While we were waiting for our picture Santa looked at Charley and motioned for her to come to him and she turned around and high tailed it as far away from him as she could get! HA!  I did not tempt fate by asking Charley to sit on his lap but she did fine standing right beside him!

The kids also did a song during church...
And look who was a wise man!

The teacher asked if Charley would hold a girl's hand to keep her on stage...she took her job very serious! HA!
Carriage ride!  Dad stayed inside with Mr. Max.
I told Sam that he had to sing jingle bells the entire time the train was going and he took me serious!
We love our church and their heart for outreach in our community!

Christmas Happenings...

The weather wasn't too cold so we hit up the Roanoke Christmas Parade.
Chris had to be with his soccer team so we called in reinforcements...Gee-Jo and Papa Kenny...

Our Christmas tree!  We are stoning the fireplace after Christmas...
 Max's first ornament...
We went crafting at Winkie's!  The kids loved it!  Here are their jingle bell ornaments...
Our elf on the shelf (Billy) isn't as creative as some but he did hijack our red dry erase marker and left us a message...
One night he hid in the tree...

Sam loves to write sentences on the back of his school papers when he finishes early!  They are always about Daddy!
One of Pioneer Woman's recipes!  Bacon appetizer wraps!  They were amazing!

 Charley's school party...
Sam's school performance!  He is a very "serious" singer!   But he knew every word!  He is in the front middle with the black jacket!
I also got to go to his gingerbread man decorating party and we all made candy at Nana and Papa's but I don't have pictures.  :(  Lots more Christmas activities left to do!
