So apparently....

when a wedding shower invitation says, "bring your fishing pole" that does NOT mean wear a skirt and wedges and DEF. do not dress your children up in cute clothes...more on that later...

Last weekend we went "into the country" for Dana and Rusty's shower and they did not disappoint in showing "us Dowdy's" a true country good time!!!


First little Emily (which yes makes me "big Emily") brought over her horse for Sam to see and this time he did not say, "horsey scare-ee". Uncle B even showed Sam how to feed him carrots. *please note Sam's cute outfit


Thankfully Patty lent me her extra boots so we could head on over to the pond for some fishing...


Emily and Katie rode over on the horse...my excuse was "sorry, I wore a skirt". Mental note: always wear skirt to country due to fear of riding horses.

Sissy enjoyed the dock too thanks to aunt Patty!!

Also thanks to Aunt Patty I got to witness my first off roading and getting stuck in the muck! (sorry I teach first grade and I'm TOTALLY allowed to make corny jokes like that!) Who is that Redneck dad to the right carrying a little boy in only their diaper????

So Sam liked the pond a little too much and decided he would go in it... with his cute clothes on! That left us competing for Redneck Family of the Year. Apparently you catch more fish when you are naked.

It's official...we ARE the Redneck Family of the year...look at those boots and skirt...
